Live Word Cloud
Everyone submits a word. The cloud builds live on screen.
Live Word Cloud is the visual pulse-check tool for any group. The host poses a one-word prompt ("how is Q3 going?", "one word for this chapter," "describe your week") and players type their answer on their phone. The cloud builds in real time on the big screen, with the most-submitted words growing biggest. Anonymous-by-default makes it the most honest signal-gathering tool we ship. Used by team leads at all-hands, teachers as chapter intros, and event hosts as audience pulse checks.
How to play
- 1
Write a one-word prompt
Best prompts are open-ended but bounded. "One word: how was Q3?" beats "describe Q3." The constraint is what makes the cloud readable.
- 2
Players submit from their phones
Each player can submit 1 to 3 words (configurable). Submissions are anonymous by default.
- 3
Watch the cloud build
The cloud rebuilds live on the big screen as words come in. Most-common words grow biggest. Common variants get auto-grouped (running/run/runs all count as the same word).
- 4
Discuss the biggest words
The discussion is the point. Pick the biggest word, ask the room why that word landed there, and let the conversation go.
Example prompts
- One word: how is Q3 going?
- Describe your week in one word.
- One word that captures this chapter.
- One word for how the new product launch felt.
- Top of mind for you right now. One word.
Word Cloud works great for…
Engagement Games for All-Hands & Company Meetings
All-hands meetings are where engagement goes to die. Break up the slide deck with a live game. QR code on the projector, everyone plays on their phone, results on the big screen.
Classroom Games Students Actually Enjoy
Kahoot is fine for quizzes. But when you want real engagement, you need more than multiple choice. Caption Contest and Hot Takes keep energy up when trivia runs out of steam.
Icebreaker Games for Team Meetings
Your team is tired of "go around and share a fun fact." Show a QR code instead. They play on their phones, results hit the big screen. Takes 5 minutes, not 20.
Virtual Icebreaker Games That Actually Work
Screen-share the game. Team scans the QR code or clicks the link. Works on any video call platform. No plugins, no "can everyone install this real quick?"
