Caption Contest gets the most laughs per minute of anything we ship. The host shows a weird, surprising, or industry-specific image on the big screen. Players have 60 seconds to type a caption on their phone. Then everyone votes on the funniest, and the winner gets read aloud. The losing captions are usually as funny as the winners. That is why the energy stays high every round.

How to play

    Show a strange image

    Pick from our built-in image packs (general, work, classroom-safe) or upload your own. The weirder the better. The image is the setup.

    Players type captions on their phones

    60-second timer. One caption per player. Players see the image on the big screen and type into their phone.

  3. 3

    Everyone votes anonymously

    The big screen shows all captions stripped of attribution. Each player picks their favorite (cannot vote for their own).

  4. 4

    Reveal the winner

    Top vote-getter wins. The host reads the winning caption aloud, and that is when the laughs land.

Are the images appropriate for work?

The work pack and classroom pack are curated for those settings. The general pack is broader. The Host Plan lets you upload your own images for fully controlled content.

How many players is ideal?

6 to 30 players is the sweet spot. With fewer than 5, the votes get sparse. With more than 50, the caption list gets long to scroll, though the laughs scale linearly.

Can I see all the captions after?

Yes. The host dashboard saves every caption from every session. Best for re-reading the next morning.

Can players upload their own images?

Not in this game. The image is the host's setup. If you want player-generated content, try Scenes From a Phone instead.
