Party Quirks

Secret quirks on phones. The host has to guess.

Party Quirks is our adaptation of the Whose Line is It Anyway? favorite. One player is the host of an imaginary party. The other 3 to 4 players are guests, and each gets a secret quirk on their phone ("obsessed with cheese," "convinced everyone here is a lizard," "trying to sell life insurance"). Guests act out their quirks while the host tries to guess what each is. The big screen shows progress so the audience can play along. Perfect for improv classes, drama clubs, and adult parties.

How to play

  1. 1

    Pick a host

One player volunteers to be the party host. They will guess the quirks.

  2. 2

    Guests get secret quirks

Each guest's phone shows a unique quirk. The host's phone shows nothing. They only see what guests do.

  3. 3

Guests arrive and act out their quirks

One at a time, guests "arrive" at the party and act out their quirk. The host plays along while trying to guess.

  4. 4

Host calls out quirks they figure out

When the host correctly guesses a quirk, that guest is "found." Round ends when all quirks are guessed or the timer runs out.

Frequently asked questions

How many players is ideal?

5 to 8 total. One host and 4 to 7 guests. With more, the host can't keep track. With fewer, the round is over too fast.

Is this an improv game?

Yes. Party Quirks is one of the most popular short-form improv games, originally popularized by Whose Line is It Anyway? Our version uses phones to deliver quirks instead of slips of paper.

Can the audience play too?

Yes. The big screen shows progress (which quirks have been guessed) so the audience can play along, though only the host actually scores.

Can I write my own quirks?

Yes. The Host Plan lets you upload custom quirk packs for class material, themed parties, or company-specific scenarios.
